This is an example of a complete off-grid solar power system. There are three 320 watt monocrystalline solar modules in parallel, each 24 volts, which feed an array of sealed deep-cycle lead-acid batteries. Securing the solar modules in a custom steel fixture which can be adjusted to the optimal fixed angle for maximum sunlight capture. The pure sinewave inverter provides 120 volt AC power, via internal and external receptacles.
This sub-project of Boil The Ocean began as a possible venture into solar panel fixturing, and perhaps another venture to offer installation of off-grid solar solutions. As many vendors have begun offering simple, low-cost solar fixturing solutions, and installers of solar power systems ubiquitous, the market seems amply served in these capacities.
